The Incredible Hulk (what a movie!!!)

Last week’s #1 DVD title was The Incredible Hulk. The movie is neither a sequel nor prequel of the 2003 film. The film counts with the “incredible” performance of Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, Liv Tyler as Dr. Elizabeth “Betty” Ross, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky, AKA the Abomination, and the special collaboration of William Hurt as Gen. Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.

This movie represents a reboot of the failed 2003 movie “Hulk” which brought a mountain of deception to Hulk fans worldwide.

This movie is something special to me because it doesn’t represent just a movie but it is a tie-in work of art to future and even past Marvel movies like Ironman and the upcoming Avengers movie. During this movie you can appreciate the enigmatic idea of using the entire Marvel Universe as a factor to create the storyline of the movie. At the beginning of the movie it shows a little of information about Nick Fury and through it the Super Soldier program is one of the factors that defines the whole movie. But the most shocking representation was the apparition of Robert Downey Jr. in the last scene talking to Thunderbolt, who works for S.H.I.E.L.D. as it depicts the movie, about a “team” they’re forming.

All this is really exciting but now let’s talk about the movie from a technological perspective.

The Incredible Hulk represents the best movie about two beasts fighting I’ve ever seen and I’d just love that WB would be smart enough to use this astonishing style to represent a future fight between any of their upcoming movies but more specifically in any Superman movie in where Supes would fight either Darkside or Doomsday because it is not only the graphics but the whole fight, the place where it takes place, the angles of the characters is just amazing and I’ve been watching that fight for 5 days in a row and I can’t get tired of it. Also the battle at the University Campus is really cool and the use of those weird sound-wave cannons is more than cool.

From my very own point of view this movie is way better done and the whole plot is just more interesting than Ironman’s. Maybe is just a matter of preference or that I’ve been watching it a lot but I find it more entertaining than a lot of other Marvel movies. Another movie I’m looking forward to is X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
