Nolan talks about Batman 3
We finally got to hear about Chris Nolan and his plans for a possible 3rd batman movie. He gave us a very diplomatic answer to the question about if he would or would not return to the director chair in Batman movies in an interview to Los Angeles Times.
He emphasized his words on the topic of the argument of the next movie. He said that up to this point there isn’t a really good script that has attracted his interest like to come back and dedicate another two years to the batman world. And then he joked about how many times a third movie has been successful. He said that if he finds a good script to a third movie then he’d be working on it, probably. He never gives a confirmed thing about anything.
“The Joker won’t be back-he continued-I only work in one movie, never with the idea of coming back to a sequel…” “…I like to give the audience a little of emotion with the characters that would entertain them and make them think a little…”
The interview was really short and it didn’t reveal any real information on a possible third movie but at least we know that Nolan is back to work and with the intention, but not for now, of bring us a good third movie or just leave it in two awesome movies like Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. But I do believe that even if Nolan doesn’t come back to do a third film, WB would like to give an end to the successful epic adventures of the dark knight. I just hope that the next director, if Nolan doesn’t return, wouldn’t have a weird last name like Schumacher, for example…
